From The Examiner…

Guest rooms still available for the 2010 Winter Games

Even though the 2010 Winter Games are fast approaching, there is a limited room supply still available thanks to Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre.

Although many nights are booked and unavailable, you can snag great values during the week of February 21-28, 2010. Contact the hotel ASAP for rates.

During this particular week of the winter games, expect un-crowded slopes as well as such great spectator events as ski jumping; bob-sledding; and biathlon (cross-country and shooting). Spy celebrities and VIPs; enjoy spacious suites featuring full kitchens, fireplaces and balconies; dip into one of the best pool decks in Whistler with a heated outdoor salt water pool, two hot tubs and sauna; and access to the in-house full service Vital Spirit Spa.

One of the best kept secrets during Whistler’s Winter Games is that 90% of the mountains will be open for skiing and boarding pleasure, with significantly less crowds than the seasonal norm.

During the 2010 Winter Games, there will be six different Whistler Live! sites set up throughout the village featuring extensive and interactive arts and entertainment programming. From morning until night, check out daily free medal ceremonies, nightly Fire & Ice show right outside the Pan Pacific Whistler Mountainside property, free entertainment and concerts, which include: Usher, All American Rejects, Estelle, Pierre Lapointe and OneRepublic, to name a few.

For reservations, email whistler_res@panpacific.com, or call (888) 905-9995.
