Wrapping up the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games – Sea to Sky artists colour Whistler’s Village Stroll during the Athlete’s Parade and the Whistler Live! Encore party

Starting at 6:45 p.m. on Sunday, March 21, high-energy kids, colourful street performers, rhythmic fire spinners, First Nations dancers and playful animators will ramble down Whistler’s Village Stroll to DJ Mat the Alien’s funky beats. This pulsating parade will lead over 1,000 Paralympic athletes to Whistler Medals Plaza for the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games Closing Ceremony.

With funding from Cultural Capitals of Canada and creative direction by Whistler-based Chili Thom, Sea to Sky artists collaborated to blend their talents and inspirations together for the culmination of the 2010 Winter Games.

Line the streets by 6:15 and pack the Village Stroll to celebrate the athletes’ momentous achievements. Stick around and experience CTV’s broadcast of the Closing Ceremony on Whistler Live! screens.

Once the 2010 Winter Games officially conclude, the afterglow keeps buzzing through a Whistler Live! Encore where you can dance and celebrate the final day of the 2010 Winter Games at Village Square. Legendary DJs Mat the Alien & Vinyl Ritchie and Whistler a Go Go dancers keep the beats for MC SUPERNATURAL’s freestyle session covering Whistler highlights from the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. You won’t want to call it a night after the Paralympic Closing Ceremony– the Whistler Live! Encore keeps the magic alive for yet another memorable moment.
