Whistler plays host to a variety of literary events celebrating the written word during the eighth annual Whistler Readers and Writers Festival. Emerging and experienced writers will gather for various workshops, readings, competitions and seminars that cater to readers as well as emerging and experienced writers. Halloween Mountain Bike Toonie Ride

October 28th, 2010

This special Halloween Toonie Ride takes place at Lost Lake Park. Organized by WORCA, Whistler’s Off Road Cycling Association, the ride ends with a complimentary après sponsored by a local Whistler business. Riders must be WORCA members and rides are open to all abilities. Sign-in at 5:30 pm. Check out the season schedule and become a WORCA member.

Whistler’s original arts party, this is a one-night stand for artists, art lovers and art class renegades. FIBT Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Cup

The Viessmann FIBT World Cup tour kicks off in Whistler! This Bobsleigh and Skeleton competition is the first at an Olympic Venue since the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Whistler’s action-packed celebration of film kicks off its 10th anniversary this year. On the bill are three exciting days filled with premieres and celebrated films from Canada and around the world, the annual Celebrity Challenge ski race and cool parties.
